Helen He, just like the name, I am passionate and positive.
I have devoted to 3-12 year old children education since 2006. I founded Rainbow Academy in 2006. The school grew from less than 10 teachers to more than 150 teachers and over 3000 students. Now it is still running healthily in Shanghai.
I am the columnist of the WeChat Official Platform—HappyKids 7. I have been writing and publishing one child education related article per week since April 2021.
I taught 2nd grade students of Mandarin Immersion Program in Kensington Elementary School in 2021-2023 school year.
I love to learn and experience with your kids together in Chinese Culture Immersion Camp this July.

After two-year immersion mandarin teaching in Uganda, I know that kids are different and effective differentiate is essential.
After getting my master degree for Applied Linguistics for English language Teaching with distinction in the UK, I have a better understanding of teaching theories and practice.
After two year immersion English teaching in China, I realize better about learning should be fun.
After more than one year teaching in America, I start to treat every year teaching as my first time to teach and student-centered teaching style grows more mature.
Our Story
We are mandarin immersion teachers who are interested in trying something new, something fun, something effective in teaching and learning. We found that our kids have many summer camp choices but mandarin or Chinese culture summer camp. As a result, many mandarin learners cannot have better opportunities to practice during long summer break.
We heard some voice and planned to do something for our mandarin learning. This is why the camp comes. We want to provided all kids with more chances to experience culture, communicate in mandarin, explore new areas.
All sessions are designed based on different themes, and what we do is related with what happened in both ancient China and nowadays modern China. Student-centered teaching methods are adopted to improve kids' competency of collaboration, communication, problem-solving, public speaking... Moreover, we design a platform for kids to present what they learn and provide opportunities for kids confidently share their ideas.
